A Victorian period student desk lamp from about 1875 is solid brass, and was meant to burn oil or kerosene. The tank is off to the side, helping light shine down onto a desktop. This lamp could be electrified if desired. Height is adjustable on this American made antique. The lamp is lacking a round cloth wick, so we cannot guarantee that this antique light will work properly. The glass chimney has an original Bohemian Annealed Glass label, and there is a chip to the rim of the milk glass shade that has been professionally polished, see photos. Measurements are 8 across the shade, 12 wide and lamp height is 19 1/2 tall not including the chimney on the adjustable burner. Please view 22 photos at full screen size for best detail.
