In Mint Crisp all matching condition, we have an Outstanding Example of a Very Rare New Zealand marked Canadian 1942 Longbranch No4 Mk1∗ .303 Service Rifle.  This rifle is in fact double matching numbered to the original Canadian serial number and the New Zealand serial number as well on the bolt and the magazine.  This is a completely Factory original example with all the proper Longbranch “LB” markings on the small parts.  The bore is mint and the wood is exceptional as well.  Just about as fine of an example of the finest number 4 rifle ever built, these Canadian built No4’s are considered to be the best that were made. What makes this one even more desirable is the fact that it is N/Z  New Zealand Property marked.  During WW2, the Kiwis fought in North Africa and moved up into Italy so likely this rifle saw action in this theater.  Probably as nice of an early Wartime No4 Rifle as you will ever see!!!
