The event will include cultural vendors, food, crafts, speakers, a fashion show and entertainment for the whole family.Join Making Change on Saturday, March 2 from 10-3pm at the Lakeshore Branch for their first Radiant Roots Black Cultural Expo. The event will include a Fashion Show, music and vendors selling handmade wares, food, clothing, all by Black owned businesses. 10:30 Drop-in Family Storytime featuring local Black author Tricia Khan 11:30 Make-up demonstration with Kezra12:00 On the Main Stage, The Pan African Fashion Show1 pm Music with Aliza Blair2 pm Guest Speakers - Keisha Hill (Estate Planning) & Pamela Hagher (Black hair care)Activities on going throughout the expo include entertainment by DJ Maxx, balloon creations, face-painting and Pan-African-inspired fingernail painting. Making Change gathered groups of people together with no art experience, to share things about their culture that spark conversations. These painted 4x4 wooden tiles are now on display at our Lakeshore Branch until April.
