John Walker & Sons were whisky producers and merchants at Kilmarnock in Scotland. The advertisement features views of the interior and exterior of their premises. After opening a small grocery shop in Kilmarnock, Scotland in 1820, John Walker began selling Scotch whisky. By 1850 John Walker was offering his own labelled �Walker�s Kilmarnock Whisky�. When his son, Alexander Walker joined the business in 1856 the business went into wholesale trading. In the late 1860s Alexander Walker created a blend of whisky which became the now famous �Black Label�. In around 1920 the company was introduced to the American market where the whisky soon became a status symbol. Today, �Johnnie Walker� whisky�s are amongst the world�s largest selling Scotch Whisky.
