Tapas — Metta Yoga

By A Mystery Man Writer

Tapas literally means to burn.  Within the yoga practice, it often refers to pranayama with an emphasis on heat.  Both on and off the mat, Tapas is that fire within us that makes us come alive.  For many of us, the practice of yoga has cultivated a fire that can’t be tamed.

Metta Yoga is San Francisco Bay Area yoga studio in Marin County California, in Corte Madera, that is edgy and fun, but still deeply rooted in yogic tradition.  In the spirit of metta, or loving kindness, we created a beautiful space for our community to come together and explore the practice of yoga – both on and off the mat.  Metta Yoga studio offers hatha and vinyasa yoga classes, workshops and yoga teacher training.  Dana Damara offers her 200-hour and 500-hour yoga teacher training at Metta Yoga.  We hope that Metta Yoga inspires you to live vibrantly, compassionately and joyfully.  Explore your edge.  Transform your body.  Fuel your soul.
