The result may be choking noises or loud snoring during sleep, as well as extreme sleepiness during the day, which can decrease the ability to perform certain tasks. The military recently investigated the use of a custom-fabricated oral appliance therapy device, and determined the device can significantly improve sleep quality and duration of some individuals.
